It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn R. Lightner (Bonita Springs, Florida), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Reed and Jayne Reed (Barrick) of Pittsburgh's South Hills; and her great-grandparents, Kylie, Adelyn, Penelope McCann (Cooper), Quinn Filipek (Hendrik), Willem Hagen and Olivia (Max Maiberger).
She is survived by: her former husband Don Boening; her stepchildren, Joni Boening McCann (Randy) and Leslie Halon (Boening); her husband William Lightner Jr.; her stepchildren, Leslie Lightner, David Lightner (Maria) and Marc Lightner; and her grandchildren, Marlie McCann Filipek (Dan), Brandon McCann (Reneé), Elisa Halon Hagen (Jeff), Ashley Halon Maiberger (Scott), Kayleigh and Max Lightner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs (9751 Bonita Beach Rd SE, Bonita Springs, FL 34135).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Resurrection Garden of First Presbyterian Church, Arts Bonita, or Café of Life in Bonita Springs.
