He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Lorenz and Ella Lorenz; his sister Marion Kurfis; and his grandson Aaron Van of Graaf. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Tanous Ek; his children, Amy Van (Pieter) of Graaf and Jack of Bonita Springs; and his stepchildren, Ann Kroll of Las Vegas, NV, Kim Thompson (Jeff) of Raleigh, NC and Lance Ek of Olean. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
