He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Fowler; his wife Peggiann Fowler; his son Joseph C. Fowler II; and his brother David. He is survived by: his father Oliver Fowler; his daughters, Gloria Castetter (Wayne) and Justine Carter (Barry); his grandchildren, Logan Carter, Kristy Allgood (Joe), Angel Khammassi and Kayla; his great grandchildren, Riley and Benjamin Allgood; and his former wife Betty Earnhardt.
