He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Bentz and Mary Bentz (Mears); and his sister Dorothy Lea. He is survived by: his children, Michael Bentz of Creve Coeur, MO and Susan Mayes (Bill) of Lentner, MO; his grandchildren, JonMichael Bentz (Megan), Erin Roberts (Michael) and Ryan Mayes of Columbia, MO; his niece Cheryl Spotts (Glen); and his nephew Chuck Lea (Kathy). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
