She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney Shanken; and her siblings, Sidney Kaufman and Shirley Fried. She is survived by: her children, Marcy Gever (Larry) and Marc Portnoff; and her grandchildren, Eric Gever and Stacy Gever (Michael Mass).
