He was predeceased by: his mother Dawn Marilyn Petersen; his grandparents, Vera, Earl McPeak, William and Gertrude Petersen; and his niece Keira Petersen.
He is survived by: his spouse Jessie; his father Dr. Roger Petersen (Della); his sons, Matthew Petersen and Nicholas Petersen; his siblings, Monty Petersen, Bradley Petersen (Melissa) and Elizabeth Petruzzelli (Dave); his stepsiblings, Christopher Oquist (Elena) and Stephanie Gunderson (Kevin); his granddaughter Kayla Lowchy; and his nieces and nephews, Allie Somers (Cameron), Maya Petersen, Sasha Petersen, Hana Petersen and Sofia Petersen. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
