Gregory Earl Petersen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gregory Earl Petersen of Boynton Beach, Florida, born in Libertyville, Illinois, who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Dawn Marilyn Petersen; his grandparents, Vera, Earl McPeak, William and Gertrude Petersen; and his niece Keira Petersen.

He is survived by: his spouse Jessie; his father Dr. Roger Petersen (Della); his sons, Matthew Petersen and Nicholas Petersen; his siblings, Monty Petersen, Bradley Petersen (Melissa) and Elizabeth Petruzzelli (Dave); his stepsiblings, Christopher Oquist (Elena) and Stephanie Gunderson (Kevin); his granddaughter Kayla Lowchy; and his siblings' children, Allie Somers (Cameron), Maya Petersen, Sasha Petersen, Hana Petersen and Sofia Petersen. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gary Panoch Funeral Homes (6140 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Saint Andrew Episcopal Church (3900 Jog Rd building 13, Boca Raton, FL 33434). A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the South Florida National Cemetery (6501 S State Rd 7, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33467).
