He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jose Gotay and Esperanza Cervantes Gotay; his former wife Maria; and his daughter Jessica Gotay.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rubin Memorial Chapel (7340 Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33437). A burial will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at the South Florida National Cemetery.
He was extremely proud of his daughter Jessica, and her accomplishment of studying medicine, and raising two children while working as a pediatrician and, more recently, her contributions to research at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kravis Center, the IDF Widows and Orphans Organization (IDFWO), or the Cuban Jewish American Mission (CAJM).
