He is survived by: his wife Nancy Malte (Trescott); his daughter Melinda Kasten; his son-in-law Daniel Kasten; his siblings, Daniel Malte (Karen), Richard Malte (Maria) and Constance Smith; his sister-in-law Jane Malte; his grandchildren, Jason Kasten and Hailey Kasten; and his extended family, Deborah Wiggins, Sharon, Denver Gammons, Holly and Lloyd Massman.
Any memorials may be given to the West Palm Beach Fisher House where his daughter stayed while James was in Hospice.
