He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Tonko and Jennie Tonko (Stornick); and his sister Mary Lynn Timpane. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his sons, Jon Tonko (Amy) of Boynton Beach, FL and Chris Tonko (Gretchen Moe) of Mt. Iron, MN; his granddaughters, Megan Tonko of Boynton Beach, FL and Hailey Kostanko of Virginia, MN; his siblings-in-law, Jon Timpane of Hibbing, MN and Geri Maki of Milwaukee, WI; his nephews, Trevor Timpane (Keisha) of Rochester, MN and Erik Timpane (Haley) of Lakeville, MN; his niece Paula Manzo (Josh) of Mequon, WI; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Addy, Benny, Teddi, Ava and MJ Timpane; and his pets, Lola and Hope.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to animal rescue and hospice charities in his memory.
