He is survived by: his children, Frank (Gina Bettis Walker), Mary Anne (Tom Hilliard), Michael and David (Chris Deveraux Walker); his grandchildren, Grace Walker, Elizabeth Walker Calhoun (David), MaryAnne Walker, Julia Hilliard Rosenfeld (Matt), Andrew Hilliard (Lauren Mounts Hilliard), Joseph Mauro Walker, Dominic Walker (Cammie Lugar Walker), Molly Hilliard, Sarah Walker and Emily Walker; his great grandchildren, Margaret, Charlotte, Katherine, Thomas, Neal Calhoun and Jack Walker Rosenfeld; and his siblings, Mary Ann Walker, Christine Dundas (Bob Dundas) and Michael Walker (Diane Walker).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lorne and Sons Funeral Home (745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (840 George Bush Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33483). A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery (10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411).
His contributions to engineering and technology earned him election as an IEEE Fellow and numerous professional honors, including the IEEE. Special Manufacturing Technology Award, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' Total Excellence in Electronic Manufacturing Award, and, in 2012, the IEEE Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Award, recognizing his worldwide contributions to electronic manufacturing, technology, and packaging through technical innovation and collaborative leadership.
