He is survived by: his wife Rhoda; his children, Stephen Bender and Lisa Bender; his grandchildren, Cloe Moctezuma, Jacob Moctezuma, Rose Bender, Joe Bender, Bella Capanelli and Deseret Moctezuma; and his siblings, Jeffrey Bender and Phyllis Edelheit.
