Richard Ira Freedman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025, Richard Ira Freedman of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Freedman and Francis Freedman (Harpel). He is survived by: his wife Joan Levine Freedman; his children, Andy (Paula Bellin), Mike (Jennifer) and Nancy Reed (Rob); his grandchildren, Rachel, Estee (Matt), Max (Jennie), Leah, Lauren, Jacob, Isaac and Daniel; his great grandchild Eli; and his siblings, Larry Freedman (Susan) and Joyce Liebman.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the B'Nai B'Rith Cemetery (55 St Johns Rd, Worcester, MA 01603).
Gifts in memory of Rif may be made to UMass Chan Medical School in support of the Joan L. and Richard I. Freedman Scholarship. Checks should be made payable to "UMass Chan Medical School Foundation – Freedman Scholarship"—and should note that the gift is in memory of Rif Freedman.
