He was predeceased by: his significant other Jean J. Venuti (Olivieri); his parents, Ernest G. Swanson and Mildred A. Swanson (Henrikson); his wife Joyce L. Swanson (Jenkins); his siblings, Janet, Richard and Ernest "Sonny" Swanson; his sons, Daniel Swanson and David Swanson; and his granddaughter Samantha.
He is survived by: his daughter Sophia V. C. Dawson; his close friend Jaycie Cohen; his children, Alex Venuti, Matthew Venuti, Kathy Lison (Mark) and Allan Swanson (Lori); his daughter-in-law Melissa Swanson (late Daniel); his sister-in-law Carol Swanson (late Richard); his grandchildren, Shane, Lorraine, Derek, Mitchell, Jesse, Thomas and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, AJ and Daniel.
