It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Prater of Bradenton, Florida, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Karen Curtis of Denver and Gregory Prater of Bradenton, Florida.; her parents, Hallie Hager and Everett Hager; and her siblings, Lovey Lee Hager, Joyce Ann Hager, Lowell Hager, James Hager, Ronald Hager, Clara Gorrell Baldridge, Charles Hager and Shirlee Branham.
She is survived by: her husband George Prater of Bradenton; her sister Rose Ellen Wells (Mike Wells) of Mt. Orab, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Prater, Travis Prater, David Prater (Karen Prater), John J. Chambers (Ashley Chambers), Lindsay Chambers and Charles Prater; and her great grandchildren, Victoria Prater, David B. Prater, Autumn Chambers and Jack Chambers.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (4030 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205).
