He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Dowty and Claire Dowty (Slater); and his brother Todd S. Dowty. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dowty (Buckley); his sons, Timothy (Kristin) of Colchester, CT, Kevin (Stacie) and MAand; his grandchildren, Andrew, Lindsay, Spencer and Connor; his brothers, Gregg (Liz) of South Berwick, ME and Scott (Gloria) of Westminster, MA; and his sister-in-law Jane of Shelton, CT. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
