Scott Garrabrant wrote a sympathy message

“My partner Susan McAnany and I lived on Longboat Key for over twenty years, Dave was a genuine good person, a friendly energy with a fantastic sense of humor. He not only delivered mail but also brought good cheer and truly cared about the people on his route. Dave was an important thread weaved into the fabric of the Longboat Key community and will be missed. We we’re fortunate to know Dave as a friend and will never forget his spirit. Scott J Garrabrant”
