She was predeceased by: her husbands, Bernie Smith and Bill Caraker; her parents, Leo Santkuyl and Marie Santkuyl; her siblings, Joe, Art, Norb Santkuyl and Christina Biechler; and her granddaughter Andrea Koch.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Smith Roth, Russ Smith (Theresa), Jeff Smith, Cindy Smith Chippendale (Bob), Chris Smith (Julie) and Joe Smith (Tanya). She is also survived by three granddaughters, three great granddaughters and a great grandson.
