He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Willis and Nellie Cadenhead; and his sisters, Faye Jolley and Gloria Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Willis; his children, Denise Hartwell (Delmer), Tracie Dill (John) and Douglas Willis (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Christina Martin (Dean), Blake Dill and Kenn Stehling.

The family asks that donations be made to the veteran organization Wounded Warriors.
