He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Irma; his wife Wanda Mackey Toussaint; his children, Andre'Toussaint and Joan Kent; and his brother Allen Toussaint.
He is survived by: his daughter Renee'Toussaint (Carson "Kit" Reid).
