As Gerald departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gerald leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Romano and Carmella Romano (Ippolito). He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lopes of Paterson; his children, Mary Ann Romano Smith of Bradenton, Geraldine Checinski of Woodbine and Joseph Romano of Sidney; and his sister Violet Heitmann (New) of Maywood. He is also survived by spouses, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
