He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey McMillen and Hesper McMillen Taylor (Luce); his wife Frances McMillen; his son Rodney McMillen; his stepsons, James Maher, Sr. and Richard Maher; and his siblings, Merna Denkenberger, Hesper Breese, Betty Dudley, Joyce Gill, Howard McMillen, Clyne McMillen, Robert McMillen and Elvin McMillen.

He is survived by: his son Ivan Lee McMillen, Jr.; his stepchildren, Lisa Russey (Craig), Janice Maher and Dee Roby; and his sister Ila Jo McMillen. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
