Janice Marie (Caruso) Sciarrabba Obituary
Janice (Jan) Marie Sciarrabba, a loving mother and devoted wife, lived a long, happy life, passed away after a fierce battle of Lung Cancer on September 19, 2020 at the young age of 73.
Jan is survived by her husband, Vincent Sciarrabba; her children, Jennifer Little, John (Velvet) Sciarrabba, Charles Sciarrabba and Daughter-in-Law Kimberly Sciarrabba; her grandchildren, Ryan Shulters (Brooke Craig), Angelina Fenner, Anthony Sciarrabba, Jacob Sciarrabba, Zachary Sciarrabba and Jason Sciarrabba, her great-grandchildren, Geordyn and Mason Fenner; her brothers, Charles (Laura) Caruso and John (Genie) Caruso, her nieces, Melissa (Gavin) Baiera, Samantha Caruso and Lauren (Brittany) Caruso; her beloved pets, Reilly, Jack and Jilly; and many extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Josephine Caruso and her eldest son, James (Jimmy) Sciarrabba.
Jan was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 1, 1947. She met her husband, Vince, on a blind date and they married on October 16, 1976; they had many adventures in their 44 years of marriage.
Jan was a devoted mother and wife and truly loved by all. She enjoyed caring for her family and her beloved dogs. During their younger years, you could find Jan with her husband enjoying the races, a nice dinner out on the town, or watching the Atlanta Braves play. Jan loved to have Sunday dinner with her children, even though her children didn’t appreciate it at the time. Jan and Vince moved to Florida in 1994; and she’s never wanted to leave since. Some would humorously say that she enjoyed buying houses and cars, and she did; it was a running family joke. Jan was very particular about her friendships; if you managed to make it into her circle, you were there for life. It is without a doubt how deeply she will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
Due to COVID, it was decided that it would be safest for all to not proceed with a service. We ask that you take a moment to honor our beloved Jan in a way that you feel she would have appreciated and remember her often.
