He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal James West and Edna Ayers of Spartanburg, S. C.. He is survived by: his wife Lise M. West; his sons, Jonathan West of Bradenton and Joel West of Asheville; and his stepchildren, Christian Deslauriers (Veronique St-Jean), Jean Chouinard (Diane Théberge), Lyne Chouinard (Jacques Quirion) and Guy Chouinard (Manon Brousseau).
