He was predeceased by : his father Lue Emma Gillis. He is survived by : his mother Lue Emma Watson; his son Frederick Lee Kelly; his siblings, Yvonne Lamb (Rodney), Ralph Thomas (Jackie), Jessie Gillis and Cornelius Clayton; his grandchildren, Frederick Lee Kelly Jr. and Jaqula Jones; and his close friend Darrell Fields.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the True Faith Church (2309 14th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Temple Church (1720 18th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221).
