He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Blunden and Muriel Blunden. He is survived by: his wife Angie; his children, Chris, Amy, Kelley and Lauren; his brothers, Bob and John; and his grandchildren, Sam, Ian, Ava, Gillian, Keegan, Kendall, Rowan and David. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

He was an example of lifting up humanity, volunteering with friends in New Orleans after the Katrina devastation and helping at food pantries during the pandemic.
