He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bancs; his daughter Bridget Bancs (Laura Rupp); his granddaughter Brooke Clark-Bancs; and his siblings, Karen McCrary, Edwin Bancs, Sharen Layne, Yvonne Ecker and Kenneth Bancs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Robert Toale & Sons (4310 Solutions Ln, Bradenton, FL 34211). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Tidewell Hospice in appreciation of the compassionate care provided during Rich's final days.
