“I was saddened to hear of my old friend passing. Richard was an idol and mentor to me growing up. His family lived around the corner from us in the 1950’s and early 60’s in Alexandria, Va. We lived on Cameron St and they lived on Patrick St. I played little league baseball and football for his Dad. Richard and his uncle Ronald were regulars in our neighborhood ball games in the Old Town parking lot across from Cunningham Funeral Home on Cameron & Alfred St’s. Richard was a great friend when I was growing up. RIP my old friend. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸”
