He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Johnson Meyer; his brother Douglas Lane Meyer; and also, Julius Henry Meyer and Marie (Moriarty Meyer). He is survived by: his wife Judith Smith Meyer; his children, Susan Elizabeth Nastasic (Zorki) of Scaly Mountain, NC, Ann Marie Ward (Bob) of Atlanta, GA and Richard Allen Meyer (Lisa) of Tampa, FL; his stepchildren, Stacey Robin Poston (Wendy) of Durham, NC and David Eric Poston of New York City, NY; his grandchildren, Zoran Aleksandar Nastasic, Cody Malisha Nastasic, Caroline Elizabeth Ward, Annabel, Elizabeth Meyer Rogers (Lane) and Richard Austin Meyer; his nieces, Sharon Meyer Kunz (Kyle) and Jeanne Meyer Bradshaw (James); and his nephew Jay Meyer (Rebecca). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
