He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahmoud Chtay and Bandar Chtay; and his siblings, Fawaz and Fayez. He is survived by: his wife Irsal; his children, Susy, Gamal, Salim (MaLourdes), Basmai (Jalal Merhi) and Hana (Nabil Hatouim); his grandchildren, Nily, Edgar, Salim, Jamily, Hana, Jobrane, Nader, Meher, Ivana, Santiago, Carolina, Basma and Chad; his great grandchildren, Jolie, Eva, Olivia, Pierre, Esme and Kiarei; and his sister Gazeli.
