William King Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 10, 2023 we had to say goodbye to William King of Bradenton, Florida. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Luther B King and Eula B. King; and his wife Barbara T. King. He is survived by: his children, Tom (Sharon) of Anna Maria, David (Julie) of Bradenton and Carol Hughes of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Tyler and Allison King; his children, Landon, Kaelyn and Rebekah Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Roman, Piper and Theodore King. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear supportive friends.

He was a great friend of Mrs. E.E. Bishop, her daughter Miss Mary Parker & along with many other prominent citizens helped them with their tremendous philanthropic contributions to Manatee County. He was the long-time liaison between Miss Parker, her foundation, and the Bishop Animal Shelter / SPCA, a now $18 million dollar state of the art facility that was recently donated to Manatee County.
