He is survived by: his parents, Gordon Coates and Elizabeth Coates; his brother Chad Coates (Becka); his daughter Brittany Wynn (Jared); his grandchildren, McKinley, Madison, Wyatt and Walker Wynn; and his nephew Story Coates (Tonya Haviland-Sierra).
