James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Sargent; and his stepfather Richard Blauvelt. He is survived by: his mother Deborah Blauvelt; his children, Nicole, Lauren and Cam; his granddaughter Kenley; and his sister Jacci. He is also survived by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in James' honor to one of two organizations that were meaningful to him. Hook-A-Hero Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting first responders, veterans, and their families through no-cost mental health resources, peer support, and healing outdoor experiences.
