Joan Pytko Obituary

Joan M. Pytko, resident of Brandon Fl passed away on January 20, 2025 at Melesch House Hospice in Tampa Florida. Joan was born in Troy NY to John Kavanaugh and Marie (Koch) Kavanaugh and attended Troy High School.

She married Joseph E. Pytko in 1950 and relocated to Tampa FL. She held various secretarial and accounting jobs, before retiring from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, as a secretary in the Substance Abuse Program. Joan was predeceased by husband Joseph E Pytko, and her daughter, Jacqueline Marie and leaves behind son, Joseph 'Vic' Pytko and daughter, Jan N. Pytko.. She leaves behind many grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

The family wish to thank all the wonderful and caring doctors and nurses at Florida Medical Clinic, Florida Cancer Center, HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and Melesch Hospice House for the care and compassion shown to Mom during her final days.

Jan would also like to personally thank her niece Julie Carnes, step-sister Debbie Dukes, close friend Angie Tyre and all her extended friends and family for all the help, comfort, and support, during this trying time. She loves and appreciates you all.
