He was predeceased by: his children, Noemi and Milton (Maria). He is survived by: his children, Elmer, Damaris, Tirza, David, Beatriz and Sarai; his siblings, Narcisa, Cresencia and Dina; and his wife Maria Teresa Hernandez Martinez. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
