It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jorge Humberto Barrera (Brandon, Florida), who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Julieta Barrera. He is survived by: his wife Ana Barrera; his daughters, Claudia Ochoa and Susan Ojeda; his son-in-law Reinaldo Ojeda; his daughter Julie Pollock; his son-in-law Byron Pollock; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jovanni, Maya, Caleb, Isabel, Charlotte, Daniel and Nehemiah; his great grandchild Aya; and his sisters, Lilian Pinto and Angelica Barrera. He is also survived by his nieces & nephews; and step-daughters, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home (2323 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
Jorge was a charitable man who had various ministries of donating bibles, food, gospel tracks or helping with humanity projects.
