It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Marlene Cheasebro (Brandon, Florida), born in Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her birth parents, John Marshall Stroud and Burcha Reynolds Stroud; her adoptive parents, George Henry Oster and Oster; her sisters, Patsy "Patty" Reynolds of Montana, Charlotte Raye Stephens (Reynolds), Sharon Kay Stutzman (Stroud), Mary Elizabeth Lambertson Reynolds (Stroud) and Connie Marie Fullhart (Stroud); her half-sister Barbara Jean Edgell (Stroud); her stepdaughter Tammy Burchfield (Cheasebro); Elizabeth Pauline (Paugh).
She is survived by: her husband Kim R. Cheasebro; her brother David Knopp (Stroud); her children, Cynthia Louise Leary and Howard Smith Leary II; her grandchildren, Ryan Leary, Timmothy Meyrick, Hayley Pittman, Gabrielle Simonsen (Pittman), Hunter Leary and Natalie Leary; and her great grandchildren, Zane Leary and Liam Simonsen. She is also survived by six other grandchildren, and many cousins, nephews.
