He was predeceased by : his parents, Letha Jacobs and Shad Jacobs; and his siblings, Kelly Jacobs and Eleanor Weeks. He is survived by : his close friend Carroll Revell; his daughters, Jill Carraway (Wilson), Joni Read (Donnie) and Jina Willis (Daryl Carpenter); his grandchildren, Evan Carraway Kryder (Robert), Hali Barfield Bodiford (Matt), Hunter Shad Jacobs (Kendra), Riley Harriet Read, Summers Ann Read, Jessica Read Hobbs (Jordan), Paige Willis Tibbets (Charles) and Ryan Gregory Willis; his brother Lloyd Jacobs; and his grandsons, Gavin, Colton, Justin Butler and Doug Thomas.
