He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Cass and Susan Beck (Cass); his sister Lois Hackett (Cass); his siblings-in-law, Bill Hackett and Rose Cass Johnson; his close friend Sandra Garner; his grandchildren, Marisa Cass, Heather Kuehne (Beck), Elizabeth Koller (Beck) and Gregory Beck Jr.; his great grandchildren, Austin Kuehne, Alex Kuehne, Riley Eck, Levyn Koller, Ayven Koller, Hayes Koller, Rorey Eck and Maisy Koller; his nieces, Lori Gagnon (Shawn) and Peggi Moore (Shawn); and his nephew Jeremy Houghtaling.

“I am sorry to hear of Dean's death and thankful Ms. Garner let Jerred know so he could tell me. I also let Karen know. What I remember most about Dean was his passion for cars and his antique Jaguar. He loved my 1960 Thunderbird. Dean served his country admirably during the dangers of the Cuban missile crisis.
