He was predeceased by: his parents, Albina May Witkofsky and Albert James Sampson; his sisters, Kathryn Trivett and Marjorie Sampson; and his grandson Ronald Joseph Dupuis III.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Colt Sampson; his children, Wendy LeBlanc (Richard LeBlanc), Heather Sampson-Valdes (Luis Valdes), Bonnie Hoel, Scott Sampson and Craig Sampson (Carolyn Whitney); his daughter-in-law Jackie Theodores; his grandchildren, Kyrsten Valdes (Kay), Anthony Sampson, Zoe Sampson, Trent Sampson and Haley Sampson; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Noah; and his sisters, Carol Guilbeault and Ann LeBlanc.
