He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Burns and Margaret Burns; and his siblings, Helen, Lorraine, Dorothy, Marie and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Burns (Hill); his children, Daniel Burns (Brandi), Tina Faulkingham and Donald Burns; and his grandchildren, Daniel Burns Jr. (Kristin), Tiffany Klenovich (Thad), Niki Burns, Jacob Faulkingham (Katrina) and Cameron Burns. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
