He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Nursick Layman; his children, Sheryl (Sal Yevoli), Jameson and Aiden; his grandchildren, Keiana Marsi of Deland, Michael, Lori, Katelyn Bridgett of Florida and Christina Bridgett Goncalves (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Carter of St. Augustine, Grayson of St. Augustine, Avery Grace of St. Augustine and Keiana Marsi (Ronald Bridgett) of Deland.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
