He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernice "Bunny" Mahoney and Benjamin Mahoney; his wife Carol Mahoney (Brown); his daughter Amanda Ponti (Mahoney); his son-in-law John Ponti; his siblings, Ron (Martha Mahoney), Bob (Linda Mahoney), Sam Mahoney and Mary Lou Tanguay (Mahoney); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Rice (Brown) and Linda Wright (Brown). He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 408J Fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation https://give.nhcf.org., created to honor the life and legacy of Doug's late niece, Jennifer Perkins, to assist those most in need across New Hampshire. The family also invites those who wish to honor Doug's memory through donations to local food banks or by giving whole blood or platelets to a local blood bank.
