Darrel leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Darrel’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Darrel will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Grace Hackett; and his daughters, Elizabeth Kaiser and Janis Wells. He is survived by: his wife Iris Hackett; and his children, Jaye Katanick (Sheldon), Ivy Glynn (David), Darrel "Buzzy" Robert Hackett II (Susan) and Susan Spelker (Frank).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
