With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Hughes of Bushnell, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on March 30, 2016 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact David had on those he encountered along his journey. Though David may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hughes and Grace Hughes (Stambaugh); his wife Dorothy Ostein; his daughter Vicki Kolleck; and his sister Geneva Howard.
He is survived by: his daughter Jackie Powers of Godfrey; his stepchildren, Ben Kelly of Jefferson, GA, John Ostein of Bradenton, FL and Jean Ostein of Maryland; and his brother George Hughes (Doris) of Astoria. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Township Cemetery Association.
