He is survived by: his wife Glenda Mitchell of Homosassa, Florida.; his children, Melissa Mitchell (Danny) of Corydon, Iowa, Michele Lehman (Brian) of Des Moines, Iowa, Sarah Spotten (Brett) of Ankeny, Iowa and Patrick Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nevada.; his stepchildren, Lucretia Gerth (Paul) of Trenton, Florida, Brian Hobson (Christine) and Woerner of Brooksville, Florida.; and his siblings, Gary Mitchell (Cheryl) of Missouri, Steven Mitchell (Jill) of Iowa and Ann Clark (Jim) of Missouri.
