He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stapleton and Carmela Prudente; his stepfather Anthony Prudente; his son Guy Leonard Stapleton; and his sisters, Maureen Elwell and Barbara Dowd.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Marie Palmer (Chad) and Curtis John Stapleton (Katherine); his grandchildren, Joseph Clement Keira Palmer (Kathryn), Logan Palmer, Myah Palmer and Guyston Stapleton; and his sisters, Diane Rotondi (Roger), Denise Mayers (Perry) and Mariann Cavallaro (Vincent).
