He was predeceased by: his parents, Félix Rivera Torres and Altagracia Díaz García; his wife Carmen Belén Colón Flores; his sister Ruth Rivera Gago; his brothers-in-law, Víctor Gago and Evelio Otero; and his granddaughter Myrna "Mimi" Rivera.
He is survived by: his children, Jorge Rivera (Maricel Micheo), Lourdes Rivera and Belén Rivera (Luis Garcia); his sister Consuelo Rivera Otero; his grandson Alex Frantzeskakis; and his great grandchild Christian Rivera.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Terrace Oaks Chapel (12690 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617). A committal service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
