He is survived by: his brother Eric Cowles of Lake Panasoffkee; his nephews, Clayton Cowles of Chicago Illinois, Devon Cowles of Gainesville and Kenneth Cowles of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida.; and his cousins, Jorja Brenning and Teresa Childers.
