It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Mitchell (Callahan, Florida), born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Rawles Mitchell; his sister Linda Danehy (John); his children, Gerald Wayne, Jr. (Sharon), David, William Mitchell, Christopher Kelly (Christine) and Tracey Kelly; his grandchildren, Michael, Jonathon (Trish), Stephen (Krista), Christy, Elise, Daniel, Tori, Cameron Mitchell, Joshua, Sadie and Matthew Kelly; and his great grandchildren, Moriah, Levi and Sophia Mitchell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Storehouse of Northeast Florida, the community food distribution center at Callahan First Baptist Church.
