He was predeceased by: his parents, Glossie Monroe Spivey and Estelle Gray; his wife Joann Spivey; his son Jamie Spivey; and his siblings, Leo Spivey and Betty Jean Ford.
He is survived by: his children, Debi Eason (Bill) and Jody Spivey (Kathy); his sisters, Alice Page and Rosalee Snipes (Author); his grandchildren, Jason Eason (April), Jonathan Eason (Christine), Brittani Eason and Julian Spivey; his great grandchildren, Jay Eason, Julius Alvarez and Eleni Shilling (Ellie); his siblings-in-law, Jerry Allen (Jean) and Joy Lynn Wright; and his niece Lisa Nelson. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
